New York is a direct-access state for physical therapy. You can see a licensed physical therapist for up to 30 days or 10 visits without a physician's referral. After that, a referral is required to continue treatment. We help coordinate with your physician when needed.
Initial evaluations run 60 to 75 minutes and include a thorough assessment, goal-setting, and the start of treatment. Follow-up sessions are typically 45 to 60 minutes of dedicated, one-on-one care with Dr. Abdul Siddiqui.
Yes — Drive Rehabilitation accepts insurance. We work with most major insurance plans. Reach out before your first visit and we'll verify your specific coverage and benefits so there are no surprises at the time of service.
Just a clear area of about 6 feet by 6 feet — a living room, bedroom, or even a garage works perfectly. We bring everything needed: treatment table, resistance bands, assessment tools, and any specialized equipment your treatment requires.
We typically offer same-week appointments across Queens and Nassau County. For urgent post-surgical cases or acute injuries, we do our best to accommodate next-day visits.
We treat a full range of orthopedic and sports-related conditions, including post-surgical recovery (knee replacement, ACL, rotator cuff, hip replacement, spine), sports injuries, chronic pain (back, neck, joint), balance and fall prevention for seniors, and performance physical therapy for athletes and active adults. Research shows in-home physical therapy produces equivalent or better outcomes than clinic-based care for many conditions. The advantages include training in your real environment (your actual stairs, bed, kitchen), higher compliance without travel barriers, and undivided one-on-one attention from your therapist throughout the full session.
Absolutely. We regularly coordinate with surgeons across the New York metro area. Simply share your post-op protocol and precautions — we build our treatment plan to align precisely with your surgeon's instructions and timeline.
Pricing depends on session length and frequency. We discuss rates transparently on the initial call so you know exactly what to expect. Many patients find that the longer, focused sessions mean fewer total visits compared to traditional clinic-based PT — resulting in better outcomes and comparable overall cost.
Yes — and we encourage it, especially for post-surgical recovery and geriatric care. Because sessions happen at home, family members can easily participate, observe home exercises, and learn safe ways to assist between visits.
Three things: concierge delivery to your home, the full hour of one-on-one attention every session (no aides, no shared time), and care from a Doctor of Physical Therapy with specialized training in performance and injury recovery. It's the level of care that's usually reserved for professional athletes — made accessible.
A quick call is usually the fastest way to get answers specific to your situation.
